Long distance transport

There are several daily long-distance bus services between Kotka and Helsinki, as well as between Hamina and Helsinki. Trains run from Kotka to Kouvola, with connections in different directions.

Long-Distance Bus Stations

  • Kotka:
    • The main long-distance bus station is located in the center of Kotka (Kotkansaari) at Katariinantori (Kymenlaaksonkatu) Map link.
    • Another station is in Karhula (intersection of Vesitorninkatu and Vesivallintie) Map link.
    • Additionally, long-distance services to Helsinki also stop at the Sutela junction, which has an interchange parking area.
  • Hamina:
    • The bus station is located at Rautatienkatu 2 Map link.
  • Pyhtää:
    • Most long-distance traffic runs along the E18 motorway, stopping at the Pyhtää kk and Siltakylä motorway interchanges. The Siltakylä stops also have an intermodal parking area.

Kotka:

Kotka railway station is located at Kotkantie 1 Map link.

The main train station in Kotka Port is located on Tornatorintie Map link.

Kotka also has stations at Paimenportti, Kyminlinna, Kymi, and Tavastila. Kyminlinna station is a short distance from stops for local buses from Karhula and Hamina, for example.
