Service taxis are available to all residents and complement the public transport system. These taxis operate on set routes and provide transportation to various destinations, such as shopping trips on a weekly basis.
You can find the timetables for service taxis under the Timetables and Routes menu. Note that service taxis are not included in the Route Guide.
The timetables allow for small deviations from the planned route. If necessary, the driver can assist with luggage. Please also inquire in advance about the possibility of transporting a rollator or wheelchair. The service is operated by a 16-seater minicab.
Booking the Service Taxi:
Service taxis must be booked in advance, at least one day before the desired trip, by calling (05) 218 4455 (Nortamaa Oy). For detailed instructions, please refer to the timetable under each route.
Fares:
The fare for service taxis is the same as the adult cash fare for buses. Payments can be made in cash or via debit card (contactless payment).
Please note that it is not currently possible to pay using a Waltti card or mobile ticket.
