Tips for a successful bus trip

Before Boarding the Bus:

  • Arrive at the bus stop on time. Please note that the stop times in the journey planner are estimates.
  • Have your travel card, mobile ticket, or other means of payment ready before the bus arrives. If paying in cash, ensure you have the exact amount or as close as possible. The driver may refuse to accept a single ticket if the banknote exceeds €20 due to limitations of the change box.

When Stopping the Bus:

  • To signal the bus to stop, give a clear hand signal to the driver by waving your hand until the driver sees you and turns on the indicator.
  • In the dark, use a reflector or your phone’s light to signal the driver.
  • It’s better to mistakenly stop the wrong bus than to miss it entirely.

On the Bus:

  • Keep your ticket for the entire journey.
  • Roller skates are a safety hazard on the bus, so please remove them before boarding.
  • Your bag should be placed on your lap or at your feet unless you have purchased a separate ticket for it.
  • Always keep an eye on your child and never leave them alone.
  • For cleanliness and safety, eating messy food or having hot drinks on the bus is not allowed.

Exiting the Bus:

  • If you want to get off the bus, give a clear stop signal in good time. If you’re unsure of the exact stop, ask the driver for assistance. They will help you find the nearest stop.
  • If you’re traveling with a stroller or wheelchair, press the stroller button (if available on the bus) to signal the driver to stop more carefully, making it easier for you to exit.

General Guidelines:

  • Please be considerate of other passengers, both at the bus stop and on the bus.
  • Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is prohibited on buses and at bus stops.
  • Report any vandalism to the driver.

By following these guidelines, the journey will be more comfortable and faster for everyone.

Have a good trip!
