Free bus travel with a reflector on 29 November

Show your reflector to the bus driver and you can travel for free on local transport in the Kotka city area (zone A) on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

If you travel between several zones, you only pay for one zone.

Normal prices apply for bicycles and electric scooters (€1.50, cash payment).

Examples:

  • Kotka-Hamina or Kotka-Pyhtää: You travel for free in the Kotka zone, and when you move to the Hamina or Pyhtää zone, you must pay.
  • Hamina-Kotka or Pyhtää-Kotka: You only pay for the journey in the Hamina or Pyhtää zone.
When paying with your Waltti card, remember to select “Special journey “Poikkeusmatka” (select zone B) if your card is a two-zone card by default.

Why not visit the Kotka Christmas Opening? There will be fun activities for the whole family throughout the city!

The aim of the campaign is to raise the Christmas spirit and ensure that everyone has access to the Kotka Christmas Opening events.
At the same time, we want to remind people about safe travel, which also includes the use of reflectors.
