During the school Christmas break from December 21, 2025, to January 6, 2026, services marked “koulp.” or “koulupäivinä” will not run; otherwise, services will run as normal. In addition, services marked as running during school holidays will run on weekdays during the Christmas holidays.
On Tuesday, December 23
normal Tuesday services will run.
On Wednesday, December 24, Christmas Eve
Saturday services will run until 1 p.m., after which the following services will run:
- Line 1 Kotka – Hamina: From Kotka at 1:05 p.m., 3:05 p.m., 5:05 p.m., 7:05 p.m., and 9:05 p.m.
From Hamina at 2:03 p.m., 4:03 p.m., 6:03 p.m. and 8:03 p.m.
Line 25S City Center – Mussalo – Karhuvuori – Karhula – Suulisniemi: all Saturday services.
In addition, routes 18 and 19 will run to the cemeteries in Kotka. - Line 18 City center – Parikka: From Kotka city center at 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Travel time to Parikka approx. 25 min.
From Parikka at 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30, 15:00, and 15:30. - Line 19 runs from Mussalo via Karhuvuori to Parikka at 10:00, 11:45, 13:30, and 15:15.
Travel time to Parikka is approx. 30 min.
From Parikka to Mussalo at 11:15, 13:00, 14:45, and 16:30.
From the city center at 2:20 p.m. via Mussalo, Munsaari and Karhuvuori to the Laajakoski cemetery (runs alongside the Kymi cemetery on Karhulantie).
Travel time to the Laajakoski cemetery is approximately 50 minutes.
From Laajakoski Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. to the city center (runs along Karhulantie next to Kymi Cemetery).
On Thursday, December 25, Christmas Day
the following departures will run on line 1 (Kotka – Hamina) and line 25S (City Center – Mussalo – Karhuvuori – Karhula – Suulisniemi):
- Line 1 Kotka – Hamina: From Kotka at 11:05, 13:05, 15:05., 17:05, 19:05 and 21:05.
From Hamina at 12:03, 14:03, 16:03, 18:03, and 20:03. - Line 25S City center – Mussalo – Karhuvuori – Karhula – Suulisniemi: all Sunday services, i.e. from the city center at 10:50, 11:50, 12:50, 13:50, 14:50, 15:50, 16:50, 17:50, 18:50, 19:50 and 20:50.
From Sunila at 11:40, 12:40, 13:40, 14:40, 15:40, 16:40, 17:40, 18:40, 19:40, 20:40, and 21:40.
For line 1, the timetables for December 24 and 25 have changed compared to the Christmas timetable on the inside cover of the Hamina printed timetable, so that departures from Hamina are 3 minutes late, i.e., on December 24, departures are at 2:03 p.m., 4:03 p.m., 6:03 p.m. and 8:03 p.m.
On Friday, December 26, Boxing Day/Second Christmas Day
Sunday services will run.
