Joint Ticket for Local Buses and Trains
The Kymenlaakso ticket offers a convenient combined ticket for local buses and commuter trains in the Kotka region and Kouvola, making travel both easy and affordable. With a single ticket, you can travel seamlessly between the Kotka region and Kouvola, as well as on local buses within the cities, without any limits.
Pricing:
A single bus and train ticket starts at €5.40, depending on the zones.
A 30-day season ticket costs between €75-129, depending on the zones.
You can purchase the Kymenlaakso ticket via the Waltti Mobile app. Simply select Kymenlaakso as your zone when purchasing.

Bus on Kotka zones + Kotka internal train
This ticket allows you to use buses in the Kotka region, within your chosen zones, as well as travel by train within the city of Kotka.
Single Ticket (valid for 2 hours from the moment of purchase):
- 5.40 € (bus zones A-B)
- 7.00 € (bus zones A-C or A-D)
Season Ticket (valid for 30 days from the date of purchase):
- 75.00 € (bus zones A-B)
- 77.00 € (bus zones A-C or A-D)
Bus in Kotka OR Kouvola + Kotka-Kouvola train
Entitles you to travel by train between the cities and to use local buses in either city, within your chosen zones.
Single Ticket (valid for 2 hours from the moment of purchase):
- 7.00 € (bus zones A-B)
- 7.90 € (bus zones A-C or A-D)
Season Ticket (valid for 30 days from the date of purchase):
- 109.00 € (bus zones A-B)
- 112.00 € (bus zones A-C or A-D)

Entitles you to travel by train between the cities and to use local buses in both cities.

How to buy a Kymenlaakso ticket from the Waltti Mobile app:
- Download the Waltti Mobile App:
- Go to your app store and download the Waltti Mobile app.
- Register or Continue Without Registration:
- If you’re a new user, register with your details. If you prefer, you can continue without registration, but note that season ticket purchases require registration.
- Select Kymenlaakso Region:
- Once you’re in the app, select Kymenlaakso as your travel region.
- Choose Your Ticket Type:
- You can choose between a single ticket or a season ticket.
- If you choose a season ticket, select the appropriate duration (e.g., 30 days).
- Select Travel Zones:
- Select the zones you plan to travel in (e.g., zones A-B, A-C, or A-D).
- Add/Select Payment Method:
- Add or select your preferred payment card to complete the purchase.
- Make the Payment:
- Pay for the ticket using your chosen payment method. Once the payment is successful, the ticket is valid immediately.
- Use Additional Features:
- The app offers a route guide, which includes addresses and available timetables for all of Finland (different from the Kotka Region guide).
- During the summer season, you can also use city bikes in Kotka, Kouvola, and Hamina to continue your journey.
- Activate and Show Your Ticket:
- Once the purchase is completed, the ticket will appear in the app. Show it on your mobile device when requested by the driver or conductor.
