The zones used by public transport in the Kotka region will change and will be reduced from the current four zones to two zones on 5 March 2025.
Zone A = Kotka city area
Zone B = the area of the city of Hamina and the municipality of Pyhtää
If you are travelling from Pyhtää to Hamina or vice versa, you will need a ticket for 2 zones.
At the same time, the price list will be renewed and prices will be increased. The fare structure will also be simplified, for example by harmonising the prices of ticket products and abolishing the off-peak discount. It is 9 years since the last price increase decided by the city, although cost levels have risen significantly since then. The new fares were decided by the Public Transport Committee on 29 May 2024.
The new season tickets for 90 days and 365 days will be on sale, which are cheaper than buying 30-day tickets for the same period.
With the 90-day ticket, which is on sale all year round, the summer ticket will be discontinued.
